Spring 2021 Species Explorers Application
VAI Afterschool Cohort | 2021 Spring Species Explorers
Explore our living world through the observations of plants and animals in this virtual afterschool cohort. Learn about our resident animals and deepen your understanding of what all organisms need to survive. Finally, use your new knowledge to build a habitat for your very own organism! As a bonus, you’ll also visit with experts to discover more about exotic plants and animals! The Van Andel Institute for Education (VAI) Afterschool Cohort is committed to advancing and promoting science education and increasing the number of students who choose to pursue careers in science or science-related fields. We are looking for students who are curious, passionate about science, and enjoy working with others.
Students in 4th and 5th grade in Spring 2021 are eligible to apply. Students and Parents must commit to participating for one semester. Participation is secured on a first-come, first-served basis.
